The highest platform of the lookout tower is at an altitude of about 455 m above sea level and in good visibility it is possible to see, for example, Milešovka, Beech Mountain, Sedlo, Vlhošt', Bezdězy, Ralsko, Ještěd, Sněžka, Velká Deštná (1,115 m) with the ridges of the Orlické Mountains and the ridges of the Hornosázava Hills.
The height of the tower is 25 metres. The operator of the Skalka lookout tower since 2022 is the Vyžlovka Municipality.
Entrance to the tower is possible at any time and free of charge.
